Moorhead ADA Transition Plan

Americans with Disabilities Act

The purpose of the Moorhead ADA Transition Plan is to research, evaluate and document the City’s pedestrian facilities, policies and procedures that relate to the City’s public right of way. To achieve project success, the City’s intersections, sidewalks, trails, parking lots, pedestrian crossings and transit stop facilities will be evaluated to determine if they meet current Public Right of Way Accessibility Guidelines (PROWAG).  The transition plan will document if and why various facilities are out of compliance, and will prioritize areas of improvements that need to be made over time. Facilities not within the City’s public right of way will not be included in the project evaluation, with the exception of City-owned parking lots.
